Taking a cue from the hilarious variety concept “Idol Ramyeonators” starring TREASURE’s JiHoon and Choi HyunSuk, we thought to showcase some other 4th generation male idol duo who should also have their own variety shows asap. Here are some of the idol duos we would love to see in a variety series.
1. TREASURE’s Yoshi and Mashiho
Their personalities are quite similar, and they have a chemistry that is simply adorable. Charming and funny, they might not be the funniest members in the group but they hold the right amount of chaos that could send you toppling over in laughter. Frankly, their personalities present a sense of warmth and comfort that gives off a feeling of reassurance whenever you see their content, so a healing variety show content would be perfect for them. A concept that involves arts, music, and good food, preferably a homestay at the beach where they serve as hosts and have fun-filled interactions with guests will be an wholesome content to watch.
2. ATEEZ’s WooYoung and San
It is high time we get the ATEEZ comedic duo, WooSan in more variety series or shows as these two together possess a level of chemistry that ranges from cute and adorable to chaotic and crazy. Individually their level of charms are so incredible and sometimes overwhelming but together, their powers are 1000 times more felt as they simply feed off each other’s energy in the best way possible. Any kind of variety show concept will be best for them but we would love to see them do a camp series. The woods, no light, no phones, just WooSan, and nature, what could go wrong?
3. Stray Kids’ ChangBin and Han
ChangBin and Han in our opinion, are the funniest members of Stray Kids. Their unwavering energy combined with their witty comments and funny expressions makes watching their contents enjoyable. This duo would surely make you laugh in a variety series. A themed concept like fear factor but less of the fear and more of the funny would be perfect for them. Taking them out of their comfort zone and putting them in situations where they would not necessarily want to be in, playing pranks on them just to see their hilarious reactions would be comedy gold.
4. DKB’s E-Chan and D1
The members of DKB are pure comedic gold and frankly picking just 2 to make this list was hard but there is something extra chaotic about E-Chan and D1 that we simply cannot get over. Funny, with the smartest and most hilarious punchlines, both idols know just how to feed off each other’s energy so naturally and that makes even the simplest moments with them cute and hilarious. A variety cooking series would be one of the best for them. E-Chan is a budding chef, well, if you discount the salty seaweed soup he made for Harry June though, so, a series of episodes where they get to cook some of their favorite dishes, and the team, staff, or strangers get to pick which one is the best with gifts or punishment for the winner and losers will be entertaining to watch.
5. DRIPPIN’s Cha JunHo and Hwang YunSeong
DRIPPIN members are very vibrant and never shy from spilling the tea on their fellow members and their crazy antics. Perhaps that is what makes them so special and makes them a fan favorite as their bond is strong and beautiful. Cha JunHo and Hwang YunSeong are our comedic duo in the group, they are both smart, witty, and athletic and we would love to see them in a variety series. Perhaps one that involves various sporting activities and the weirdest games would be perfect for them.
6. BAE173’s HanGyul and Muzin
BAE173 are variety of show content kings as they have a lot of videos that you can certainly binge-watch for an amazing time. All the members are equally funny and chaotic but for this themed variety series, we believe this duo would be perfect. Taking a cue from their appearance on Edward Avila’s channel (which you can watch here) we would love to see them do a sort of beauty school makeover series. They learn how to do makeup and open a salon and give crazy makeovers to people. We already foresee Muzin doing all the work and HanGyul basically judging his every move and having the funniest reactions.
