“Blind” follows the story of ordinary citizens who become victims to a string of injustices, the perpetrators who continuously undermine the law, and those trying their best to uncover the truth. The first two episodes have already proven to be a rollercoaster filled with exciting twists and turns. 1. Heart-pounding Mystery
Within the first few minutes of its premiere, “Blind” raises many questions about the backstory of its main characters and who exactly is the primary villain. Through the drama’s use of flashbacks and present day events, viewers will be able to slowly connect the dots to this complex, yet intriguing plot. Each character proves to be an essential piece to the story’s bigger picture, making viewers anticipate the drama’s future episodes.
2. Solid Main Leads
It hasn’t been too long since the three main leads graced the small screen. That might be the case, however, their characters in “Blind” are completely different from their previous roles, proving their versatility and experience as actors. Ok TaecYeon takes on the role of Ryu SungJun, a passionate detective who puts his all into solving the case. Despite his hardworking nature, he is hotblooded and often causes trouble for his fellow detectives and family members. Many fans will be excited to see TaecYeon’s portrayal of his character, as he’s already proven to be a praiseworthy actor in recent years. Early on, viewers are able to tell that there’s a hidden secret behind that charismatically handsome face. A secret everyone is dying to figure out. Ha SeokJin portrays Ryu SungJun’s older brother, Ryu SungHoon. SungHoon is the favorite of the family, a perfectionist judge, and a just, law-abiding member of society. He does his best to uphold justice in and outside of court, not allowing relationships with colleagues, seniors, or family members to cloud his judgement. SeokJin’s calm, cold acting provides the right amount of tension, leading viewers deeper into the mysteries of the drama. Rounding out the main cast is Jung EunJi in her portrayal of Jo EunGi. Jo EunGi is a righteous social worker who has a bold and generous attitude. While she experienced many hardships throughout her life, she decided to become a social worker in order to aid children in need. EunGi’s fate becomes intertwined with the two brothers after she became a juror for a murder trial. EunJi once again shows her versatility as an actress and how she can nail any role given to her. Her character is the perfect balance between the Ryu brothers and their clashing dynamic.
3. Conflicting Brotherly Dynamic
Ryu SungJun and Ryu SungHoon show early on that they have two conflicting personalities. One prefers to jump into action, while the other is the type to think things through. While they do not show any animosity towards each other, there is an obvious tension that’s hard to shake off. It will be interesting to track how their relationship evolves throughout the course of “Blind” and whether they will be able to work together to find the real culprit.
